There is time when your lens is not wide enough to get the whole object as you want; neither the space is enough for feet zoom. That is time when stitching come to your rescue. With Adobe Photoshop CS 3’s photomerge and lens correction, you can leave the costly ultra wide lenses to persons with deep pockets. No wide lens? No worry!! All you need is some labor and time.

Whenever I bring visitors to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, aka S21, I am frequently asked the meaning of the above sign. “Is that laughing prohibited here?” they questioned me. I wonder if anyone can translated it correctly without the phrase សូមរក្សាភាពស្ងៀមស្ងាត់ (roughly means “Please do not make noise” in English) written on the upper part of the sign. As the place is well visited by foreign visitors, I keep asking myself why the person in charge did not care to have English on it, if they cannot find more comprehensible sign.

It is risky enough to ride on car roof not to mention sleeping while doing so. It seems these people are so comfortable in doing such a life-threatening action. Is there any challenger?

Rokadek, a legendary thorny tree believed to grow in the hell for adulterers to climb on as punishment. The photo was taken at Phnom Sambo, Battambang.

This unknown tree was found in the forest of Sambo Preykuk. After seeing this tree, Rokadek is much less thorny. Probably the increasing number of committed adulteries on earth (even Mr. Tiger allegedly involved in love affair with a cocktail waitress) has made the Rokadek less thorny. Should the Solicitor General of the Hell consider of using this tree to replace Rokadek. -:))

I am not a great fan of HDR, but after seeing some amazing HDR works, I decided to give a try. I started to love it bit by bit. I will try to dig into it deeper when I am more tumnei. The below twilight views are from the apartment I am now living in.

I had a good Saturday’s afternoon shooting models for the first time with another two full-frame Nikonians at Phnom Penh’s Railway Station. These photos were taken with D90 I borrow from a friend, as my lens is still somewhere. Thank to Ari for all the arrangement.

The General Department of National Radio has stopped functioning for a long time. Recently the abandoned establishment located on a prime location was completely pulled down. I have no idea what will be replaced in return? Is it another development?
