Thanks to Buddhist Institute of Cambodia’s handwork, ”The Khmer Dictionary” is now available in PC version. It should have been done long time before. I have waited for it…

I got problem with rendering at the right panel, thought it renders perfectly at the left. I tried to added the usp10.dll file to the installed folder, but to no avail. Out of curiosity, I rang the person in charge at the Buddhist Institute, but he did not know the reason too as he has neither experienced it nor received such kind of feedback. He said we will check it later.

Yeah, life is here is not as damn hectic as in Tokyo. That is why I prefer to work here to Japan. Take care not to load yourself with stress. There are lotta guys guys there get stressed and turn crazy recently. I am sure that you know about the incident at Akiba. Let me know when you are here. Hope still have my number.

  4. neary says:

I have download the dictionary but it doesn’t work. How do i install it? do u know? thanks

  5. Phal says:

Hi Neary. First you need to extract the file. In case you are using Window XP, you need to install the KhmerUnicode2.0.0.exe. It will require you to insert your Window CD to complete the installment. After that you execute the setup.exe file located in the folder of Khmer Dictionary of the Buddhist Institute. But if you are not using English-version Window XP, you might got the same problem like me. The reason that it does not properly render in my PC apparently only because I am using Japanese-version Window.

    Good luck with it!!!

FYI, the version 2 of the dictionary works charmingly with Japanese Window.
