Here are the two affordable lenses I wish to have. I had planned to have the AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D by the end of this year, but now it not likely that I can do so. Hopefully I can get them by next year.

AF Nikkor 50mm would be pretty good to take pan picture and the 55 – 200mm would really good for portrait and action/motion

  2. Rooster_kool says:

Bro, Nikor 50mm f/1.8 D just under $100. No need to wait till next year. I won it. It products portrait so damn cool. I really love it over the price.

Actually I went to get one from a shop in Phnom Penh. But apparently it is not so popular amongst Cambodians, so there is none available in their stock. By the way, it costs about $150 here.

The shop in Phnom Penh, will shave you! (Shave not Save)

  5. borin says:

I remember when I got my Canon 450D in Thailand, it was cheaper than in Cambodia. 700plus, when in Cambodian 800plus.

I just visited the camera shop few days ago, i found that those lens are very expensive :).

  6. borin says:

The Canon EF 1.8 is under 100, but the Nikkor my be 150 that’s right 😀

  7. Tumnei says:

A few days ago, Nikon 50mm F1.8 was $120 sth. So usually where do you get your gear, Borin? I got Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX VR
from Sabbay Nash on Monivong Blvd at the end of last year. It costed me a few buck under $200. I also frequent the nearby Lom Or Thmei as well.

Oh btw, do you where is the best place in town where I can have Camera sensor cleansed?

  8. borin says:

Wow, It’s kinda cheaper than ebay. Only few time that I got my gears, the Camera body was in Thailand, The tripod in K4 (1 meter high), and the lens from ebay. I visited Sabay nash, and Lom or Thmei, and The Nikon store, a few time, but i never really buy any thing.

Hmm.. I don’t know about the sensor cleaning, I was about to ask you. I had problem once with sensor, but the spot disappear after I use the automatic cleaning on the camera body. I did clean mine once using the dust bellow, but m not sure if it really works.

  9. borin says:

I saw some used lens from old Film camera for sales at Lomor Thmei, they told me it will fit on my Canon, but i never have the chance to try it on. And I saw the price tag real cheap. Hehehe,

  10. tumnei says:

The price tag of $120 was on amazon. For the sensor I have not tried automatic cleaning program, but the sensor swabbing did not work in my case.
